Taiquwei is a set of AI visual asset libraries plus a character compositing platform. The three libraries are free and open; the platform requires a membership. There are four sites: the pose library, the costume library, the portrait library, and the studio that ties them together.

Why this was built

Everyone making images with AI hits the same wall: you know what you want, but you cannot find the reference image that expresses it accurately. A search engine gives you scattered pictures; a social platform gives you other people’s finished work. Neither solves the problem.

So the logic behind these libraries was never “collect more images” but “break images into a searchable structure”. Every asset carries a system, category, angle and tags, so you can query references like a database instead of browsing a gallery and hoping.

Where the assets come from

All images are generated by AI, then manually filtered, categorised, named and angle-aligned. A set of 1,440 images corresponds to several times that number in generation; what is kept is what has a clear structure and no obvious anatomical errors.

The pose library’s depth maps and line art are two representations of the same batch of actions, with filenames corresponding one to one, which is what makes switching and side-by-side comparison possible at any time.

How the four sites relate

The three libraries share the same categorical structure and the same ten-language version. The studio sits on top of them, letting you complete the whole path from selecting assets to generating an image inside one interface.

About studio membership

The assets themselves are free forever. Compositing consumes model compute, so it runs on a membership: seven days, monthly, half-year and yearly durations, configured centrally in the back office.

Compositing results are cleaned up automatically after 72 hours on the server, and you can delete them at any time. Character images often contain unpublished design work, and that should not sit on the server indefinitely.

Use and copyright

All assets can be browsed and downloaded free of charge, for personal creation, commercial projects and teaching demonstrations. You can drop them straight into ControlNet as a control image, or use them as reference for drawing, design and photography.

The only usage not recommended is packaging the assets for resale, or claiming them as your own original work. The value of a reference lies in being used, not in being possessed.

About the technology

All three asset libraries are static sites with no database queries; all filtering happens locally in the browser, which is why they open instantly. Categories and copy are written into the page at build time, so search engines can read the full content without executing scripts.

Contact

Found a problem, want to request a feature, or want to work together — the site message form is the way. The libraries are updated continuously, and new material is announced in the tutorials.
